Artificial Disc Replacements
Dr. Randall F. Dryer has completed training to implant the ProDisc™-L
(lower back) and both he and Dr. O. Atilla Onan have been
trained and have implanted the ProDisc™-C (neck) artificial discs.
Effective October 1,
2011, UnitedHealthcare has determined that cervical disc
replacement is an effective technology to treat single-level
cervical disc degenerative disease. UHC will cover
ProDisc-C.

other companies consider disc replacement surgery as
experimental or investigational, and do not cover the
